DOOM® Releases for Nintendo Switch!

Lets you Rip and Tear Wherever the Hell You Want

p>AUSTIN, TX – Veteran studio Panic Button, in conjunction with id Software® and Bethesda Softworks®, has completed a port of the seminal first-person shooter DOOM® to the Nintendo SwitchTM, which released on November 10, 2017.

DOOM returns on the Nintendo Switch as a brutally fun and challenging modern-day shooter experience. Relentless demons, impossibly destructive guns, and fast, fluid movement provide the foundation for intense, first-person combat – whether you’re obliterating demon hordes through the depths of Hell in the single-player campaign, or competing against your friends in numerous multiplayer modes.

Staffed by a team that includes fans of the franchise, and longtime fans of Nintendo, Panic Button worked closely with id Software and its proprietary idTech® engine to bring the core shooter to Nintendo’s newest console.

Building on Panic Button's long-time development experience and unique expertise with the hardware, DOOM for Nintendo Switch represents a key success in Panic Button’s strategic growth.

“When you look at Panic Button’s portfolio, you’ll see a definitive story over the last six years, as we increasingly add high-visibility, high-caliber titles,” said Adam Creighton, Studio Head for Panic Button. “DOOM is a revolutionary first-person shooter that inspired a genre and cemented itself as part of the pop culture landscape. We’re grateful to be part of bringing it to a new audience.”

DOOM for Nintendo Switch wouldn’t exist without DOOM, so we wanted to bring id Software’s shooter to the hardware in a way that made them and Bethesda proud,” Creighton said. “We’re thrilled for Nintendo fans, shooter fans, or anyone who loves unfiltered gameplay experiences to play DOOM on Switch.”
