Montreuil, December 02, 2013. Microïds Games for All announces the release of a new Time Management game collection called “Gas Station - Rush Hour!” today on iOS and Android and soon on PC and Mac.
Following the success of the “Monuments Builders” saga (over 100.000 units sold on the Big Fish platform, world’s largest producer of casual games) Microïds Games For All now presents a new way to play Time Management games. With “Gas Station - Rush Hour!” it is no longer about building famous monuments.
Players will now have to manage a business and optimize the clients flow during rush hour . In “ Gas Station”, players are at the head of a colorful gas station, reminding the drive-ins we used to find back in the 50’s in the USA . Tony, the owner, sets the financial objectives and assists the players who are in charge of the management and the development of the station , to make as much money as possible and in the shortest period of time.
To do so, all the clients who step in the station must be taken care of quickly . They all drive different vehicles that characterize their behavior. For instance, sedan drivers are more generous, firemen come first, big trucks are huge gas consumers, etc. Also, service must be efficient : as time goes by, consumers become less and less patient, which has a direct impact on the amount of the tip they will give the players.
Two game modes are available. In the RUSH Mode , the goal is to make maximum money by managing efficiently the gas station (the game is over when three clients have not been served). In the HISTORY Mode , players must carry out twenty-four missions with precise goals. At the beginning, clients only come to get some gas, but once the station gets new equipment , new customers’ expectations appear. Players must be able to meet all clients’ needs as quickly as possible and without blocking the gas station or they might lose their temper.
Before the game starts, players have access to the shop where they can find thirty-two items to unlock throughout the adventure. The items help optimize the management (fill in an empty pump, clean the road so that the cars don’t get dirty, etc.) whereas with the upgrades, equipments and quality of the service can be improved. Buy a snack-bar, add cash registers, pumps, parking places, or get a quicker service: all these will help develop the station to make it as attractive as possible. Also, bonuses help players make more money by responding instantly to the customers’ needs, by filling in their patience gauge, etc. The selected bonus at the beginning of the game can be used as soon as the “combo gauge” is full.
The gauge fills in for each “color combo ”. To create such a combo, several vehicles of the same color have to pass by a same pump, cashier or one of the various stands of the gas station. For instance, if three red vehicles in a row pay the same cashier, the tip is multiplied by three. Vehicles are of seven different colors , so players have to get organized to form combos without slowing down the station’s business.
Aimed at everyone, " Gas Station - Rush Hour! " rewards the best players via a scoring system and successes to unlock. This is a good reason to optimize one’s game strategy on each level.
