Moscow, Russia — 6 June 2017 — AurumDust, the developer of the turn-based role-playing strategy Ash of Gods, currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, has published a detailed update , dedicated to the creation of the visual style of the game, which explains the similarity of the project with The Banner Saga.
In addition, the update touches upon other works that were used as sources of inspiration and references, from the palette of Hayao Miyazaki to the works of animation studios that employed rotoscoping techniques in the XX century.
About Ash of Gods
Ash of Gods is a mix between a roguelike role-playing visual novel and an online turn-based strategy game. It has been heavily inspired by The Banner Saga series, Japanese visual novel games, and the spirit of The Darkest Dungeon.
AurumDust is a small independent developer with members working remotely. Many of the team members knew each other in the past, and now they have joined forces for the express purpose of working on Ash of Gods.
Team members worked in such companies as Katauri Interactive, Game Insight, Playrix, Nival, Astrum, Streko-Graphics, Vogster, TvxGames, Mail.ru, GameNet, Drimmi, Red Machine and Supersila Games.
