CROOZ RELEASES NEW RACING GAME ACR DRIFT™ FOR iOS

Free-to-Play Game Races Across 135 Countries and Regions Worldwide

TOKYO, JAPAN - February 20, 2014 - CROOZ, Inc. today released ACR DRIFT , a racing game for iOS smartphone and tablet devices, across 135 countries and regions worldwide. Developed by CROOZ, the game features more than 50 gorgeous and exotic cars with some of the highest quality graphics for a smartphone racing game. Players can race through a wide selection of courses from cities worldwide and can customize each car using a variety of upgrades and parts to create a ride of their own.

Hit the road and race across real-life cities like Moscow, LA, Las Vegas, the lake side of Italy, and even at a harbor in Hong Kong. With only a simple swipe of the screen, players can drift various cars, each backed with dynamic smoke and realistic sounds. More than 25 courses can be played in both single and multiplayer mode. The multiplayer mode, which will be available in the near future, consists of patent pending technology which will allow players worldwide to compete with each other without being affected by the connection. Optimized for different devices, the difficulty and monetization are carefully balanced for extended play.

ACR DRIFT allows players to customize world famous cars, including the Bugatti Veyron (which holds the Guinness World Record for fastest production car with the speed of 267.857mph, or 431.072Km/h), Pagani Zonda Cinque, Koenigsegg CCX, Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren and the Bentley Continental GT Speed. Using aero parts, wheels, decals, under neon and more, choose from more than 50 cars to create and personalize, providing an immense number of possible combinations. Featuring easy-to-learn controls, all it takes is a finger swipe to perform dynamic drifts and blast squeals.

Each car model is carefully crafted, achieving some of the highest level graphics for smartphone racing games. Reflection mapping technology that displays the cityscape and landscape on each car body makes race scenes incredibly realistic. ACR DRIFT will keep evolving, so please stay tuned for more news.

ACR DRIFT is now available to download for free in the App Store.  This is CROOZ’s first release in North America, so to celebrate this milestone the company’s new logo has been released. Designed by Rob Janoff, famous for designing the original Apple logo with Steve Jobs, the logo is based around the concept of water. CROOZ aspires to be like water—gentle yet strong, something that no one can live without.

About CROOZ

CROOZ is an entertainment company. We deliver online content on a global scale, with a focus on social network games. Our sales make us a leading domestic provider of social applications, and we are expanding across the globe, with offices in San Francisco, Singapore, South Korea, and Europe. Our offerings include our first worldwide mobile app, ACR DRIFT, which we released in 135 countries and regions, and social network games such as The Knights of Avalon, Ragnabreak, and HUNTER×HUNTER Battle Collection—which always rank among the top games on Mobage, a large Japanese social gaming platform. We also run an online shopping site, “SHOPLIST.com by CROOZ”, where customers can buy fast fashion clothing—the latest catwalk trends at affordable prices—for women, men, and children.

With the international release of racing game ACR DRIFT as its starting point, CROOZ plans to become a fully fledged participant in the global arena. Therefore CROOZ needs a corporate logo befitting a company that is aiming not just for domestic success in Japan, but to become an international industry leader. We have decided to adopt a new corporate logo, designed by Rob Janoff—creator of the Apple logo—in collaboration with our President and CEO, Koji Obuchi.

Rob Janoff is a world-famous designer who created the corporate logo for Apple, Inc. In search of a designer who could illustrate CROOZ’s passion for global success, he was introduced as an ideal designer. After many discussions about CROOZ’s ambitions, Rob Janoff agreed to design our logo collaboratively, which became his first creation for a Japanese company.

All creation stems from water, and it is the greatest of all things on this earth. By being able to adapt to many situations, it has the power of creation. CROOZ aspires to be like water – gentle yet strong. It’s an element we cannot live without. This is why we based our logo around the concept of water.

We will strive to bring a new world of experience to our users across the globe, the likes of which has never been seen before in social network gaming. Please watch this space for forthcoming developments.

Apple, the Apple logo, iPad, and iPhone are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. App Store is a service mark of Apple Inc.
