15-Year Gaming Industry Veteran Brings Proven Leadership in Content Acquisition and Development

LOS ANGELES, CA– March 21, 2013 - Gaikai Inc., a Sony Computer Entertainment company, announced that Careen Yapp has joined the Gaikai team as Vice President of Business Development and Account Management.?In this role, Yapp will be responsible for supporting new business development activities, including the acquisition of new partners and content properties for future cloud services offered by Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc. (SCE).
Prior to joining Gaikai, Yapp served as Vice President of Acquisitions and Franchise Development at Konami Digital Entertainment, where she led the strategic direction and pursuit of new business development activities, including the acquisition of original and licensed properties. She also served in key business development and licensing roles at D3Publisher of America and THQ where she participated in the acquisition and development of high-profile brands from Nickelodeon, Disney, Cartoon Network, DreamWorks, Warner Bros., Fox, Marvel, Mattel, and Lego.?She currently serves as a board member for the Electronic Software Association (ESA) Foundation and for the Game Connection Advisory Board, and has served as a board member for the Licensing Industry Merchandisers Association (LIMA).
