Britain’s top female table tennis players play exhibition match at Rough Trade East on Kinect Sports

LONDON - 27 JUNE - Britain’s No. 1 and No. 2 ranked female table tennis players, Kelly Sibley and Joanna Parker played an exhibition match with a difference this weekend, taking each other on in a friendly competition in Kinect Sports for Xbox 360, in the middle of the Rough Trade record store in East London.

The two Olympic 2012 hopefuls showed off an array of trick shots in front of crowd to mark the launch of Kinect Sports Presents: Summer Saturdays at Rough Trade East ( www.roughtrade.com). Every Saturday until August 27th, families can come down and enjoy breakfast, browse records, play on Kinect Sports on Xbox 360 and enter to win an Xbox console.

Kinect Sports, a BAFTA Best Family Game award winner from Rare, turns any living room into a world-class stadium, football pitch, track-and-field arena or boxing ring.

Simple, intuitive and instantly fun, the Kinect for Xbox 360 exclusive title is the first full-body, controller-free sports game. It delivers the ultimate party experience with six different individual and team-based events: track and field, football, beach volleyball, boxing, table tennis and bowling.

The revolutionary Kinect for Xbox 360 lets everyone experience games and entertainment, no controller required. Kinect has been named by Guinness World Records as the Fastest Selling Consumer Electronics Device, by selling eight million units in its first 60 days. To date, Kinect for Xbox 360 has sold more than 10 million units worldwide and there are more than 20 Kinect games available.
