BOOYAH SOCIETY, THE FIRST SOCIAL GAME BASED ON REAL-LIFE ACHIEVEMENTS, IS NOW AVAILABLE ON THE APPLE APP STORE

Booyah Society, an Achievement System For Life, Presents a Colorful and Vibrant World to Share Updates, Adds Recognition into Daily Life, Encourages Positive Social Engagement

PALO ALTO, Calif.– July 27, 2009– Booyah, a Silicon Valley entertainment company founded by former games industry veterans, has launched its first product Booyah Society, the first social game based on real-life achievements for the iPhone and iPod touch. Booyah Society, live on the App Store today for free, is the kernel product for Booyah’s long-term vision. Booyah’s goal is to help people to improve their lives and catalyze mass action through an artfully stylized, immersive app that blends game mechanics and emergent social behavior.

“Booyah Society will be intuitive to the generation surrounded by social networking and social games,” said Keith Lee, CEO, Booyah.“Booyah’s goal is to motivate people to pursue their real-life passions while positively impacting themselves and the community around them. It’s the first achievement system for life.”

Booyah Society is an easy-to-use addictive application that allows iPhone and iPod touch users to track their activities, earn recognition for their accomplishments, and participate in positive social engagement. Via a customizable 3-D avatar that resides in a beautifully designed world, Booyah members can track their daily accomplishments in real-time with nine activity zones that help to categorize and visualize activities. Booyah even inspires discovery of new hobbies by providing helpful recommendations for local events in users’ areas.

Booyah Society encourages members to celebrate the little victories and the larger“Booyah Moments” in life with their community. The application is fully integrated into Facebook Connect and Twitter, providing a fresh, fun way to post personal updates and share achievements with friends. Booyah also offers a private journal option that saves achievement posts securely for future reference.

“The iPhone and iPod touch are the perfect platform for Booyah Society,” Lee added.“The device is with you everywhere and the platform is suited for dynamic updates, which are important since Booyah Society will grow and evolve organically. New features and capabilities will be added to the product regularly.”

Booyah Society was created by a dedicated group of former games industry veterans from top games companies Blizzard Entertainment, Activision and Insomniac Games, who are social gamers with a passion to drive people to become a better, more accomplished version of themselves. Earlier this year, Booyah announced that the Company raised $4.5M Series A financing from Kleiner Perkins Caufield&Byers (KPCB) as part of the firm’s highly sought-after iFund.
