Apptouch Games debuts new twist on the classic falling tetris game with a streamlined design, great user features and support for the iPhone/iPad.

Buenos Aires, Argentina -- Mobile games developer, Apptouch Games  announced today that they have debuted a new version of the popular falling tetris game: Blockapp (iTunes Game Center - Arcade, Free) is an “upside down” falling tetris game that features a streamlined and minimalist graphic design to the game, a series of Boosters and Shields that allow players to level-up and optimize game play and support for iPhone and iPad (5th Generation) products.

Blockapp is the brainchild of Argentinian developer, Martin Ysa - who took on the challenge of finding a new twist for the popular and “falling tetris” puzzle game. Ysa’s version of the game inverts the tetris grid upside down to create a mind bending version of the classic game. Blockapp allows users to collect coins for each cleared row which they can then use to purchase in-game Boosters and Shields which optimize game play. Boosters and Shields include such items as “Coin Magnet” (allows player to collect draw all available coins to their bank), “Undo Pack” (allows user to eliminate misplaced tiles) and “Defrag Board” (runs throughout game and optimizes game board to include as few empty spaces as possible). The cool, elegant puzzle imposes no time limits and allows players to play an endless game at their own pace to level-up and become a “Blockapp Tycoon.”
