bgf2011 opening keynote by Michael Pachter: The big guns are coming– How the browser games industry is about to change

Frankfurt, 26 th of October

The bgf2011 opening keynote is charting the future of our industry– which may be set for a major upheaval, as big brand names and big guns such as EA and Ubisoft enter the fray.

Michael Pachter, Managing Director, Equity Research Entertainment at Wedbush/Morgan will look into how the big players will ultimately ring in the end of the current era of mid-sized independent publishers and why he expects that to happen.

Mr. Pachter has over 20 years of experience as a finance professional has been recognized as StarMine’s Top Earnings Estimator year after year and Best on the Street by the Wall Street Journal. He frequently publishes predictions on the fate of a long list of companies from Activision to Ubisoft.

Following the talk, we will host a panel featuring Mr. Pachter discussing his talk with the biggest German browser- game companies’ leaders: Heiko Hubertz (Bigpoint), Carsten van Husen (Gameforge), Patrick Streppel (gamigo), Michael Zilmer (Innogames) and Markus B?chtmann (ProSiebenSat1Digital) will give their view on current and future developments. The panel will be moderated by Christoph Holowaty of gamesindustry.biz.
