Anuman acquires Mindscape licences

COMMUNIQUE DE PRESSE

Montreuil, 27 October. Game publisher Anuman Interactive has acquired the Montparnasse Multim?dia and Alsyd catalogues as well as the Horse Star license, all formerly operated by Mindscape.

Following the compulsory liquidation of Mindscape on 20 June, French game publisher Anuman Interactive announced that it is taking over the Montparnasse Multim?dia and Alsyd catalogues and the Horse Star license. It is looking to develop established real-life titles on new devices while continuing to publish products for PC, its traditional platform.

The Montparnasse Multim?dia catalogue comprises over 50 culture-based titles originally published as interactive software. These include“The Louvre”,“Egypt”,“The Mus?e d’Orsay”,“The History of France” and“The Second World War”. The Alsyd catalogue features a number of real-life titles such as“Kinship” (Genealogy) and“Red Shift” (Astronomy),?The Horse Star license, targeting young horsewomen, is Anuman Interactive’s first MMO in this segment.

Anuman Interactive CEO St?phane Longeard had this to say about the acquisitions:“The creation and adaptation of real-life games is the DNA of Anuman Interactive. Thanks to this deal we’ll be reviving some fantastic licenses such as‘Red Shift’ and‘The Louvre’ on new mobile social platforms and also adapting them for PC, something we’re very pleased about. Rushed out by Mindscape in 2010, Horse Star will also allow us to break into the world of MMO– once we’ve optimized the product– and retain our core audience at the same time.”
