October 23rd 2013 (New York, New York) Should there ever be a zombie apocalypse, you might want to stick close to Alayna FeltonThe 21-year-old student from Minnesota, USA fended off enough virtual zombies to get the top score in the mobile game Into the Dead, landing her a spot in the next Guinness World Records™ Gamer’s Edition.
Alayna posted an official score of 32,858, beating Into the Dead’s previous high score by more than 9,000 points. That was good enough not only to put her name in the record books, but also take home the top prize of a Samsung Galaxy S4.
Alayna was one of Into the Dead’s many global participants over the weekend of October 11-13, which served as the first qualifying competition of the Kiip Mobile Gaming Championship to search for the best mobile gamers on Earth. She also inched closer to earning the title of “world’s best mobile gamer” by securing her invite to the final Championship competition. Commenting on Alayna’s record-breaking score, Stuart Claxton, Marketing Director with GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS said, “Alayna had the added pressure of competing against thousands of gamers around the world, making her achievement that much more remarkable. We are thrilled to be working with Kiip to celebrate the accomplishments of mobile gamers.”
The Kiip Mobile Gaming Championship isn’t over yet. There are still more chances to take home a world record and win prizes along the way.
