Alert: World’s Best StarCraft II Players to Compete at Major League Gaming Spring Arena April 20 - 22

This weekend, eight of the top finishers from the Major League Gaming (MLG) Winter Championship will compete at the MLG Spring Arena in New York City. Some of the best StarCraft II players in the world including Korean players - MarineKing, DongRaeGu, Heart, Parting, Ganzi, Violet, and MC and North American player– Huk– will battle for nearly $11,000 in prizes. The Top 4 will also get direct seeding into MLG Spring Arena 2 taking place May 18-20 and guaranteed entry into Pool Play at the MLG Spring Championship in Anaheim, CA, June 8-10.? The bottom 4 finishers will drop into the Invite-Only Online Qualifiers taking place later this season.

The three-day tournament will be commentated by some of the top casters including Artosis,? DJ Wheat,? Tasteless,? JP McDaniel,? Rob Simpson, and?StarCraft II PlayerGrubby.? For the first time, MLG is bringing in some of the top StarCraft II players to provide in-depth analysis as well. Axslav,? QXC, and? Sheth, will break everything down between games including the history of the players, their records against each other, their strategies, play styles, and more.

MLG will be broadcasting the competition LIVE via seven streams all weekend. See the complete schedule below.

    <*> The Central stream: a highly-polished production featuring half the matches of the tournament.? <*> The Gameplay Stream: a fast-paced, all-action stream, featuring the other half of the tournament's matches.? <*> Four POV streams: one for each player who's competing on the Central and Gameplay streams.? <*> The Dr Pepper Ultimate Access stream: free to everyone, all weekend long. The stream will feature interviews, analysis, behind-the-scenes coverage, and a lot more.? <*>The Central and Gameplay streams will be broadcast in up to 1080p. The POV streams and Dr Pepper stream will be available in up to 720p.
