ATTENTION GAME AND ENTERTAINMENT EDITORS

(VANCOUVER, BC) May 29, 2014 --  Megalodon Interactive, a brand new Vancouver-based game studio, is set to launch their first game, Across the Table - Hockey , a same-screen 2-player game for iPad that combines two arcade staples: air hockey and table hockey.

Imagine playing table hockey, but with the added speed and freedom of air hockey.  “It’s like playing air hockey only with an unlimited number of paddles - and you get to throw them at the puck!” explains Matt Linsangan, co-founder of Megalodon Interactive.  “It's a completely unique take on arcade hockey, but is also an homage to some of the great hockey videogames of the past like Ice Hockey on Nintendo.”

This all started with a love for hockey and the need for more same-screen multiplayer iPad games.   Across the Table - Hockey  was built from the ground up for two players and is the studio’s first game in its Across the Table series.   The duo believes that  true multiplayer games are meant to played in-person with family and friends.  “We want to bring back that comforting feeling of playing games with one another in person.  Our hope is to make games that bring more people together playing on the same device, whether it be at coffee shops, restaurants, cafeterias or even at home during family game nights.” adds co-founder Tyler Goodbrand.

Across the Table - Hockey will be available for iPad in the App Store on June 26th for a special launch price of $0.99.
