UPDATED: BAFTA-winning student game Tick Tock Toys is already a global hit for its creators - receiving promotional features on Apple's App Store in 40 countries worldwide.
Sophia George, co-founder of Swallowtail Games, said: "We're absolutely delighted to be promoted on Apple's App Store for our first game, Tick Tock Toys. It's such an incredible endorsement after winning Dare to be Digital in 2011 and the BAFTA Ones to Watch Award in 2012.
"I really want to get families playing games together, and to let as many young women as possible know that they too can get into the games industry. I just hope that people of all ages downloading and playing Tick Tock Toys helps to spread that important message all over the world."
The countries that have feature promotions for Tick Tock Toys so far are:
Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Laos, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom and Vietnam.
With her team Sophia won the University of Abertay Dundee’s Dare to be Digital game design contest in 2011, the BAFTA Ones to Watch award in 2012, and with support from the Abertay University Prototype Fund founded her company late last year.
