For Immediate Release
Hertfordshire, UK, Tuesday 28 th January 2013– KISS Ltd, a co-operative of industry experts bringing independently developed games to digital distribution, reveals the team line-up of Charlie Andre-Barrett, James Deputy, Nina Cliff, Tom Felices, Iain Hancock and Sarah Still.
The six co-operative members join the KISS management team of Darryl Still and Peter King. Charlie will work alongside Darryl to manage some of KISS’ key distribution partners, particularly in the casual space. James, Nina and Tom will bring independently developed titles to the KISS label in North America, Europe and Nordic/APAC respectively. James is managing a project to bring KISS’ titles to the Android platform. Tom has an additional responsibility of managing distribution partners in APAC territories. Iain Hancock will be managing the development of KISS’ own online store and community. Sarah manages contracts, royalties and other key administration.
Launched in 2012 by Peter King and Darryl Still KISS has contracts with over 50 vendors worldwide including Steam, Amazon, Gamestop, Gamefly, EA/Origin and Microsoft. Their proposition is unique in the market– to offer developers full digital distribution without the need for multiple contracts whilst still retaining the rights to their game and receiving the majority of the revenue.
Darryl Still, CEO and Publishing Director, commented:“We wanted to form a co-operative to share best practice and experience in the PC digital distribution market with our development partners. All our team continue to work in their own right but join us in a collaborative capacity to bring independently developed games to the digital vendors we work with. I’m really excited that we’ve brought together this outstanding group of people– the relationships and contacts we now have are second to none in the PC digital distribution market.”
Peter King, COO and CFO, continued:“ KISS is a specialist in getting games listed and then managed to continue to generate maximum exposure and revenue. We already have significant experience with digital distribution generating sales in excess of $15m in less than three years for a number of partners including 1C. The digital market is constantly expanding and we are signing contracts weekly with new vendors.”
There are more exciting projects on the horizon for KISS with the release of digital adaptation of John Buchan’s classic thriller, The Thirty Nine Steps on 15 th March 2013, KISS’ own digital retail site launch and the announcement of a major licenced PC game next month.
