Fast-paced casual game coming soon to iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch from indie developer Flow Studio
PRAGUE - 17 January 2013 - Independent developer Flow Studio is announcing that Sortee, a casual game for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, is coming soon to the App Store. A fast-paced puzzle game with a deceptively simple premise, Sortee tests players' perceptions of the junk that clutters up our lives. The game is currently in submission with Apple and expected to release within a few weeks.
From sorting laundry to separating recyclables from trash, sorting is something we do all the time without a second thought, but Sortee shows that quick and precise sorting can be an intense test of brainpower. In Sortee, players must sort everyday objects based on the criteria that define them, such as an item's color, the material it's made from, or how it's used. As each item appears on screen, simply swipe to flick it into the right bin. Level by level, the sorting gets trickier until only those with quick fingers and even quicker thinking can succeed!
With its cartoon art and simple premise, Sortee may seem like child's play, but the game was deliberately designed for adults. "Here at Flow Studio, we never completely grew up, and we think that's true of a lot of people who play games. With Sortee we wanted to design a funky, visually-appealing game to satisfy your inner-child, that also provides a good mental challenge for adults," says Richard Horin, co-founder of Flow Studio. "So we took a simple principle, sorting, and turned it into a brain-teaser that gets really devious and exciting as it progresses. It's a piece of cake in the beginning, but as the categories multiply and the pace picks up, you'll be surprised by how challenging sorting can be!"
Additional Sortee details, including screenshots and a gameplay trailer that show off the game's unique look, can be found on the official website: http://www.sorteegame.com
