Leeds, UK, December 20, 2012 - PlayKash ( www.playkash.com) - Game development team PlayKash claim to have developed the first video game to successfully cross the Video Gaming and Social Gambling divide. 'KOYNZ' is the first fully interactive video game to let players place virtual bets on every move they make, giving the player a greater personal investment and hence, a 'bigger buzz' than conventional games. KOYNZ retains the compelling gameplay of a video game, but adds the thrill associated with gambling, resulting in a very potent and addictive cocktail. The team are now seeking help from Kickstarter backers for support to perfect and launch the title.
The inventor or the process, PlayKash CEO, Eddie Gill says, "We've succeeded where the big video gaming and gambling companies have failed by creating the perfect formula to link Video Gaming and Social Gambling. KOYNZ is our first game to use the technology. It uses the familiar 'match 3' gameplay, but KOYNZ lets players bet on every move they make. It's a totally new way to play a game, and the risk element results in a rollercoaster of an emotional ride that can only be described as thrilling! We use realistic coins for authenticity and it all feels very real, but it's virtual money, so players can't lose their shirts. We invite players to try an early demo of the game on our Kickstarter site."

Five years in development, the technology behind KOYNZ enables the creation of Social Gambling games out of most types of video game genres including puzzlers, shooters, platformers and driving games. It also works with real currency, and PlayKash hope to see their technology adopted by publishers and developers to create prize-based variants of top titles in the future.
Gill says "It's no accident that, with the exception of tournament games where the best players always win, there are currently no online video games with in-game real money prizes. Maintaining playability in skill-based games with in-game prizes is a very difficult problem to solve, but we've achieved it, and it opens up some really exciting opportunities for game developers and publishers."
