Marseilles, France– 27 November 2012 the IMGA announces that, for the first time, games made for tablets are eligible for entry to the competition. Considering the impressive growth and quality of iPad and tablet games and the large number of requests from developers of tablet games, they are expecting many interesting contributions this year. The Awards have always been platform agnostic and welcome games made on any platform: iOS, Android, Windows, Blackberry OS, Bada, HTML5 or any other widely available platform.

The International Mobile Gaming Awards renews its invitation to mobile game developers worldwide to compete in a highly competitive, international arena. Winners receive a total of ONE MILLION EUROS (approximately 1.3 MILLION USD) in media exposure.

Last year, over 600 applicants from more than 52 countries submitted their games. Applicants included the top 10 studios, independent studios, individual developers, students, artists and researchers. The diversity, quality and innovation of the games submitted makes the IMGA the best showcase for mobile games in the industry. Participants can submit their game(s) on http://www.imgawards.com until 14 January 2013.
