Hamburg, November 22, 2012. Wim ter Schüren is set to join InnoGames on January 1 st as the browser game company’s new head of game development. In this role, he will be responsible for over 60 developers and will report directly to founder and managing director Hendrik Klindworth. As InnoGames puts increasing emphasis on cross-platform titles, ter Schüren will be particularly responsible for integrating mobile development into InnoGames’ already well-established classic web development.
“Furthering cross-platform development in a seamless way at InnoGames will be a challenge that requires innovative technical solutions– which is definitely exciting to me,” ter Schüren explains about the position.“InnoGames’ growth is very sustainable and its portfolio caters to a broad user base, while also providing long-term player motivation. That is what convinced me to come on-board,“ continues ter Schüren. In addition to six games already launched, the company is currently developing two unannounced titles, and planning a third.
Previous to InnoGames, Wim ter Schüren headed software development at eSailors IT Solutions, and was Head of eCommerce Software Development at OTTO. He also gained professional and management experience at RTL Interactive and Kabel New Media. He graduated from the University of Hamburg with a degree in Technical Business Administration.
