Boston, Massachusetts - Negative Nimbus, the award-winning iOS game about a lovable-but-curmudgeonly raincloud who can’t stop raining, is“giving thanks” by going free for the Thanksgiving weekend. The universal iOS app, which usually sells for $0.99, will be available for free from Thursday, November 22nd through Sunday, November 25th. Developed by three-time Emmy-nominated indie studio CloudKid, this beautiful touch-based universal iOS app won the award for best visuals and design at the Boston Festival of Indie Games.
CloudKid’s Creative Director Dave Schlafman said of the free launch,“We are so thankful to have produced and released our first original iOS app this past year. The response to the game so far has been overwhelmingly positive, and we wanted to share the love by going free for the holiday weekend. We hope even more people can enjoy Negative Nimbus now!”
In the game, players guide Nimbus through the stunningly animated worlds of Sunnyland, raining on all the flowers and trying to keep everyone else dry. The simple, intuitive tap-and-swipe gameplay is designed for gamers of all ages to explore these immersive levels and avoid soaking its dozens of quirky characters. In addition to immersive gameplay across four worlds and tons of levels, the app also includes unlockable comics, quirky hats and loads of achievements.
