If you haven’t spotted any men proudly showing of their newly grown facial hair, in aid of Movember, you may be on another planet!
Movember takes place for the entire month of November, where men compete head to head in a battle of the‘tash, growing the best and most flamboyant facial hair one can master all in aid of supporting mens health.
Big Bite Games have taken this challenge on in the virtual space, giving their players of Soccorama the chance to purchase a crafty moustache, and bowler hat to match, with proceeds going to the Movember Foundation.
The Movember Foundation uses money raised to fund two programmes: an awareness and education programme that significantly increases the understanding and reduces the stigmas of the health risks that men face, and Movember’s Global Action Plan that accelerates key outcomes in prostate cancer research by facilitating global research collaboration projects.
Sebastian Warnez, CEO Big Bite Games stated,‘We want to build relationships with charitable campaigns through Playmob and felt this was a great one to start with and would appeal to our audience of players. It is a fun addition to items players can buy, while supporting an extremely needed and worthwhile cause’.
Playmob’s CEO Jude Ower quoted,‘We are delighted to be working with Big Bite Games on their fundraising strategy now and in the future. Movember is such an important charity and we feel tackling fundraising in the virtual space is just as important as the physical world.’
The Movember Charity item will be on sale from 19th November until 30th November. To play Soccorama and purchase the unique item, visit https://playmob.com/games/soccorama.

More info about Movember
Movember was established in 2003 by a few friends over a beer in a pub just outside Melbourne, Australia. The goal was simple– to create a campaign promoting the growth of the moustache among like minded people and having fun along the way. It is about real men, talking about real issues and changing the face of men’s health, one moustache at a time. Movember now spans the globe, with campaigns in 21 countries in 2012. www.movember.com
