FuturLab’s hit PlayStation minis title Velocity won the award for Best Arcade Game 2012 by a small studio, whilst 4J studios won the large studio category for Minecraft on XBLA.

Velocity is playable on all current PlayStation hardware including the PlayStation Vita, and earned critical acclaim earlier this year with 9/10 review scores from the likes of Edge, IGN and Pocketgamer, resulting in a Metacritic average score of 87.

From James Marsden, FuturLab's Managing Director:

“We’re so happy that in this age of casual, social and mobile gaming, classic core gaming can still be recognised for greatness. We’d like to thank TIGA and all the judges that took part, and we hope this recognition will open yet more doors for us.”
