MELBOURNE, Australia, October 17th 2012

On October 12th, 2012, Tasty Fish , the frantic fish flocking survival-arcade game by Dime Studios, went from being Free to Play (F2P) to a Paid App at $1.99USD. It’s unusual to promote when an app increases in price, however Dime believe it’s for the better.

Tasty Fish was available as a F2P App on iTunes and the App Store over the month of September, however the decision to move from F2P to a Paid App was considered by Dime as the best direction for the game, as well as the experience of future players.

While the game now comes with a $1.99USD price tag, it still features the optional in app purchases for players who wish to instantly unlock all of the games content, and the coin boosters for impatient players.

The increase in price eliminates the need for Dime to supplement revenue with invasive ad-support or aggressive tactics to elicit in app purchases.

Dime believe that by introducing the $1.99USD price, users will become more invested in the growth of their school, and preference working towards unlocking content rather than making use of the game’s in app purchases.

Dime Studios will continue to support Tasty Fish, with a content update scheduled for early November, 2012. Tasty Fish is available for $1.99USD on iTunes and the App Store.
