TrueAchievements.com, the premier source for Xbox 360 news and achievement information, is excited to announce that October will be“Viral Month”, a community-driven event that encourages the“swapping” of viral achievements from over 90 games.   

Viral achievements require gamers to play or have contact with an“infected” player over Xbox LIVE.  This“infection” then spreads to the new player who is free to spread it to others.  Throughout the month of October, TrueAchievements is hosting gaming sessions to encourage these viral transmissions. 

Davie Marshall, TrueAchievements’ Social Manager, is excited about the potential of this year’s Viral Month:

"Simply put we're enabling gamers around the world to get together in organised sessions to pass around those achievements which require 'contact' with another 'infected' player. Some of these achievements become much harder to obtain over time, so this is a concentrated effort to get those unlocks moving again! It's a big event and really popular with TrueAchievement users. As a stat drop, last year the event saw 4096 achievement unlocks for a total of 142,601 TrueAchievement score."
