Times are changing for this independent videogame magazine. Comics and Gaming Magazine, Canada’s premier source for videogame commentary, reviews and editorial is happy to announce it reaching another new milestone in its almost three years of publication.
Toronto, Sep. 13, 2012… In the month of August 2012, almost 35,000 people were visiting our website at CGMagazine.ca every day– for a monthly total of over 1.07 million visitors. This is a testament to both our audience reach and credibility within the industry. What remains unchanged is our core values and passion for the industry and culture that our readers have come to expect in our coverage of events, games and news at the local, regional and international level.
The bi-monthly publication of Comics and Gaming Magazine, is now a featured magazine on Zinio, the world’s largest digital newsstand. The print edition of Comics and Gaming Magazine continues to be shipped all across Canada and the United States, while the digital edition is available globally. If any public relation officers would like a digital subscription sent to their firm– please get in contact with us. We are more than happy to connect potential advertisers and companies with our digital platform.
The growth of our readership both in print and digital spheres can be directly attributed to an increase in the range and content of the coverage Comics and Gaming Magazine provide online. New weekly editorials and a drastic website overhaul have had a dramatic impact on audience reception and shown that Comics and Gaming Magazine is an entity meant to contend with the best of them.
Our newest feature to the website, The Weekly Goods, has been making a big splash. Garnering over 3,000 views a week since its inception, we have long term plans for its growth and look forward to where we can take it, and our growing video presence, in the future. We recognize that our audience is very interested in video content– and we are determined to cater to that need.
Canadians have shown through their patronage that they need a Canadian angle on videogame coverage. Comics and Gaming Magazine is dedicated to continuing to bring that coverage to their doorstep, computers, tablets, and smart phones.

About Comics and Gaming Magazine
C&G Magazine arrived on the Canadian literary landscape in February 2010, focusing on comics, graphic novels, and gaming. Based in Toronto and Canadian-owned, we look at the industry through a Canadian lens, with coverage on the latest and greatest the industry has to offer– nationally and internationally. C&G Magazine decided to expand into the burgeoning world of comics, graphic novels, and gaming after being disappointed with the lack of print options available for the average comic and gaming enthusiast. The market is currently saturated with print magazines produced with a focus on specific gaming systems and major companies. However, very few give the general fan a look at the entire gaming industry from an independent perspective. All the while, comics and graphic novels are severely underrepresented, and publications often target children and teenage audiences rather than adult enthusiasts. C&G Magazine is a venture launched by Lucid Media Network, a Canadian-owned and - operated publisher which currently publishes two other nationally-distributed magazines: Lucid Media magazine and Side Street Review, both of which are based in arts and culture. We are expanding into comics and gaming with the belief that arts and culture does not preclude, but rather encompasses these two distinct mediums.
