The Oculus Rift is a virtual reality headset that allows users to step into game. It produces a stereoscopic 3-D experience with a huge field of vision—110 degrees diagonally—and overcomes the latency problems that have plagued previous VR gaming headsets, where movement in the game lags movement of the head.
Oculus recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to speed the distribution of early development kits to game developers around the world. More information on the Oculus Rift Kickstarter campaign can be found here: http://kck.st/NU6QRn
