Uppsala, Sweden – July 3, 2012– Hansoft, the leading vendor of tools for defect tracking, agile and lean development, announces that the Start-up License, free for up to nine users, has been hugely popular among indie developers and micro studios across the world.
One of many small studios that have taken advantage of the Start-up License is Mimimi Productions. The micro studio is not only award winning but also cutting edge in their use of crowd funding for their new project Tink.
CEO and Founder Johannes Roth explains why they wanted to use Hansoft:
“When we first saw Hansoft we immediately fell in love with it. We used different project management tools before, but Hansoft seems to be the first one that is developed by a team that really understands the requirements of such an application. It perfectly matches our workflows, greatly enhances our efficiency and, thanks to the start-up license, is affordable for newcomers like us, which enables us to focus even more on the important part of the production, developing great games.”
Hansoft Start-up License has, since the launch in March this year, allowed nearly 100 teams to use Hansoft in production. The license, free for up to nine users, was created to facilitate for small studios to start using premium tools and practices before the challenges with organisational growth start slowing them down.
“Many small developers are running into trouble when growing fast and we have seen a clear need for micro studios to start focusing on production processes at an early stage. The Start-up License has in short time been a much bigger success than we had ever expected and I think it is a good sign that many indies are realizing the advantages of using good tools to build a scalable business. Mimimi Productions is a very promising studio and we are excited to follow their growth and future success,” said Patric Palm, Hansoft CEO.
