3rd Beta of IGF finalist '7 Grand Steps' reaches Humble Store, for PC and Mac

Earlier purchasers can upgrade using the link they received from the Humble Store

SAN FRANCISCO– 30 April 2013– Indie dev. Mousechief Co. released a third beta of 7 Grand Steps: What Ancients Begat, a 2013 Indie Game Festival finalist, for purchase through the Humble Store ( http://p10.hostingprod.com/@mousechief.com/7GS/Beta_Sale.html). The beta is now priced at $12. The finished game will be $15.

7 Grand Steps: What Ancients Begat is a unique casual game that uses a board game mechanic to advance a rich, intimate narrative. Via brief text vignettes that add up to the length of two novels, experience how western ancestors influence our lives today. Playing dozens of generations across four social classes, that change with the ages you can: discover up to 72 inventions that change the world, brave a score of heroic adventures, and face the challenges of three mini-ruling games.

Principal developer, Keith Nemitz, thanked early customers, "Your response has been terrific! The 2nd beta cleared up most of the bugs. This one should be more balanced. For those who have reached out, asking to help, the best thing to do is, show friends and family how to play it. Videos of people playing the game are the most effective way to spread 7 Grand Steps."

Mousechief hopes this beta will be the last, with the final release expected in May. With each monthly release, the price will rise by one dollar. Beta customers will receive the finished game free of charge, and they can access updates like this one with the same code/link they purchased.

From the sweat of laborers to the perspective of kings, experience the drama of a family lineage that survived the changing ages... or did they survive? How you guide them will determine their fate. Learn more at: http://www.7grandsteps.com
