FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
8 AUGUST 2007, BUDAPEST, HUNGARY
3D Brigade (EU), the market’s leading art outsourcer in the Eastern-European region, expands its already wide range of services by opening a new concept art division.
"With this new and strong arm, 3D Brigade has come full circle. We're now able to support game developers with everything that is required for art production in modern videogames," said Zsolt Vamosi, president of 3D Brigade, "From concept art to modeling, motion capture to animation, and storyboards to high-end CG movie production, we offer it all. Within the video game industry, we believe 3D Brigade offers the best value on a global scale."
The concept art division - a team of five - is led by Karoly Gogos, an acclaimed veteran concept artist and painter. Mr. Gogos joined the videogame industry in 1992 as a concept artist and background animation designer at SEGA’s Appaloosa Interactive, developers of Ecco the Dolphin. In the past 15 years, Karoly has made contributions to more than 30 published titles at five major Hungarian studios. He has created AAA quality concept art for acclaimed international clients like Sony Computer Entertainment, SEGA of America, Electronic Arts, Konami Digital Entertainment, and Vivendi Universal.
Upon completion of the game graphics design class at the Technical College of Fine and Applied Arts in Budapest, Mr. Gogos graduated from the University of Art and Design as a conceptual designer (where he also received his master’s degree for applied art and architectural design). In his career, Karoly has been a graphic artist, conceptual designer, and painter (his work has been shown in half a dozen art exhibits between 1978 and 1996), but his main passion is the creation of art for the digital entertainment sector.
The concept art division is operational and has already made contributions on two projects. One assignment was to design weapons and props for Ascaron's upcoming PC/Xbox 360 title, Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, while the other was to create concept art and background design for an undisclosed PlayStation 3 title.
