Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain becomes GeForce graphics card freebie

Nvidia has named Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain as the next game to be bundled for free with its graphics cards.

For a limited time the Konami title will be offered for free with purchases of GeForce GTX 960, 970, 980 and 980 Ti-based graphics cards as well as notebooks that feature the GeForce GTX 970M or 980M GPU.

Nvidia has previously detailed a working relationship with the game’s developers to bring all sorts of additional visual trickery to the game, with G-SYNC, Dynamic Super Resolution and ShadowPlay promised.

Metal Gear Solid V is due out on both PC and consoles September 1st. It’s the first entry in the series to be released on PC at the same time as it arrives on consoles and is the first ‘main’ entry in the series to hit the format since Metal Gear Solid 2.
