John Osvald, Nathan Etter and Jesse Janosov head for the exit door

Zynga loses three more execs

Zynga has lost another three executives this month from its social and real-money gaming operations.

As reported by Bloomberg, two senior VPs of games John Osvald and Nathan Etter and casino division VP Jesse Janosov have all resigned from the firm.

According to Etter’s LinkedIn profile, the exec has now taking up a job at Disney Interactive as VP after nearly four years at Zynga.

Osvald had joined the social gaming outfit as lead product manager on Café World and FarmVille in 2009, before moving into various roles including GM on CastleVille and FrontierVille, and later VP of games on those titles.

Janosov had been at the company for a year and a half, having previously worked as CEO of Rivet Games and VP of product at Playdom.

The departures come during a busy restructuring period at Zynga as it looks to reverse its fortunes having suffered from aggressive expansion and large acquisitions.

Earlier this month, Xbox chief Don Mattrick took over as CEO of the company, replacing founder Mark Pincus, who took on the role as chief product offer and chairman of the board.

Following Mattrick’s appointment, Zynga has decided to pull back from the real-money gaming market, and focus on free-to-play social games, which the company is famous for. The firm will however continue to evaluate its real-money gaming prospects in the UK.
