Social games giant takes on PC with with multi-platform title Solstice Arena
Zynga may be going through tough times, but that hasn't stopped them from acquiring mid-core multiplayer-focused developer at A Bit Lucky.
The full team of over twenty developers from A Bit Lucky will take up offices at Zynga San Francisco, where they will continue work on their current game: Solstice Arena.
A Bit Lucky was founded by Frederic Descamps and Jordan Maynard, and boasts a team of veterans from Trion Worlds and xfire.
The studio is currently working on a new title named Solstice Arena, with staff to continue development on the project as part of the deal.
"After exploring various options and talking to a lot of interested partners, Jordan and I are convinced Zynga is the best choice for us," said Descamps.
"Zynga sees something very special in A Bit Lucky and the team we have assembled.
"Likewise, why we picked Zynga is pretty simple: it was truly a meeting of the minds. At Zynga, we met people like us: passionate hardcore game developers animated by a strong entrepreneurial spirit."
