Fully customisable code could expedite implementation and debugging

AI specialist Xaitment has made its source code available to customers who own full versions of software modules XaitMap and XaitControl.

The source code, which is available at no extra cost for a limited time, allows developers to customise the AI code for better performance and – in theory – faster and more efficient implementation.

Xaitment did not state when the gratis period ends. The offer is only available to US and European customers.

The downloadable source code is available for all platforms supported by Xaitment - Windows, Linux, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.

“As the number and variety of projects we support grows, so too do the number of requests we see for features that are specific to game genres or platforms,” said Xaitment CTO Thorsten Maier. “

Offering source code with our AI software modules frees developers to customize our code in order to meet the specific needs of their unique projects,” he added.
