Women in Games Mobile Awards nominees announced

The nominees have been announced for the first ever Women in Games Mobile Awards, organised by the not-for-profit outfit, Women in Games.

The new awards, which were announced earlier this year, aim to recognise the leadership achievements of women in the mobile gaming industry and highlight projects that have women in leadership roles. The awards, endorsed by the International Mobile Gaming Awards (IMGA) will take place during the European Women in Games conference on September 6th.

The seven nominees are up for two awards. The first is the Grand Prix, an award for the best mobile game made by a team including women devs or a team that is led by a woman. The second is a leadership award, looking at the exceptional quality of work from a mobile game developer.

"We’re very pleased with the number of entries we’ve received for the first Women in Games Mobile Awards, coming from around Europe and representing a broad selection of pioneering women in the industry," said Women in Games CEO, Marie-Claire Isaaman Our ambition with these awards is to highlight the breadth of talent that exists and as such we encourage everyone to submit their entries next year too. All are welcome, whether they have been in the industry a long time or just starting out.”
