Harrison, Cecil and Segerstrale to discuss demise of the disc at London Games Conference

The digital distribution revolution will empower more developers to take control of their destinies and build direct relationships with their customers.

That's just one of the themes that will be discussed at this October's London Games Conference, the UK's biggest standalone event dedicated to digital distribution, which takes place at BAFTA in London on Tuesday October 27th from 4:30pm.

(To order tickets, email Rob.Baker@intentmedia.co.uk.)

Pioneers in the digital space, such as Phil Harrison, Charles Cecil and Playfish's Kristian Segerstrale will be joined by Conservative shadow minister for culture Ed Vaizey and representatives from Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft to chew the fat on the issues and opportunities involved with the digital distribution space.

Speakers from online retailers and distribution networks, such as Direct2Drive, will also be on hand to discuss the new businesses springing up to handle the 'distribution' aspect of the new phenomenon.

LGC is supported by Platinum Sponsors Zavvi.com and Direct2Drive, and Gold Sponsors Team 17, PowerPlay, Game Streamer and CD Team.

Tickets for the event are £229, which includes dinner and plenty of networking opportunities with your industry peers. E-mail Rob.Baker@intentmedia.co.uk or phone 01992 535647 for more information.
