iOS edition of Trinigyâ??s tech to be displayed at GDC

Engine vendor Trinigy is set to reveal a mobile and handheld edition of its popular Vision Engine.

The Germany-headquartered company will also develop further its WebVision technology for browser-based games.

Both initiatives come part of Trinigy’s new strategy to expand into the emerging game development markets.

More details will be revealed at the Game Developers Conference 2011, Trinigy said, as the firm prepares to demonstrate the new mobile engine behind closed doors.

The firm will also demonstrate, this time in public, browser-based games built with its WebVision tech.

“We’ve always believed that technology should enhance, not hinder, creativity in game making, which is why we’ve built such a modular, cross-platform technology,” said Trinigy general manager Felix Roeken.

“Our mobile strategy is designed to offer developers of browser-based, mobile and handheld games the same performance, the same flexibility – the same limitless freedom – our technology and support provide to PC game and console game developers.”

The Vision Engine is already available on a broad range of platforms, from Xbox360 to PS3, Wii and PC.
