Cutting-edge technology firm establishes British base - former EA Criterion man Dunnet in as studio head

Unity opens UK studio

Increasingly-popular engine firm Unity Technologies has today announced the official opening of its UK studio.

It’s the third office for the firm behind the increasingly popular multi-platform game development tools for PC, Mac, Wii, PS3, Xbox 360 and iPhone.

Unity UK is based in Crawley – chosen given convenient location between UK games dev hubs in London, Brighton and Guildford.

The studio will be headed by former EA/Criterion man Graham Dunnett as director of testing, support and documentation, and plans to support fast-growing userbase.

Dunnett is also actively recruiting to quickly grow the team – they are looking for test, support and development engineers.

He has a strong background in middleware having spent seven years at Criterion where he ran the support team for the RenderWare, the industry’s pioneering middleware technology. He also helped Criterion establish offices in North American and Japan. He spent four years with Electronic Arts after the publisher acquired Criterion.
