Unity now supports deployment to PS Vita

The Unity Game Engine now supports deployment to Sony’s PlayStation Vita.

This is the culmination of a March 2013 partnership between Unity and Sony to add support for all PlayStation platforms to the engine.

New platform-specific features include support for the Vita’s motion sensors, front and rear cameras, dual analog sticks and rear touch pad.

Unity for PS Vita also offers full support for all PSN features including Trophies, Friends and matching.

The launch follows shortly after the Vita release late last year of “Stick It To The Man” by Zoink. The game was also developed for the PS3, and acted as a trial for the Vita version of the engine.

Developers interested in using Unity to build or port their game to Vita can find more information at the offical blog post.
