Unity Awards 2012: Lobbying opens

Unity has opened the international nomination phase for its annual game development ceremony, the Unity Awards.

Celebrating outstanding use of the Unity Engine, the event awards developers across eight categories:

Best Student Project
Best Technical Achievement
Best Visual Experience
Best Gameplay
Best Serious Game
Best Non-game
Community Choice
Golden Cube
(best overall game/project)

Nominations across each category is open until June 15th.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony during Unite 12; the annual Unity developer conference which takes place on August 23rd in Amsterdam.

“There is a torrent of amazing content created by the Unity community of developers each year,” Unity CEO David Helgason said.

“It’s incredible to have the chance to acknowledge the talented and dedicated groups and individuals who use Unity in ways that continue to inspire us to improve our tools, engine, and company.”
