Program designed for companies of all sizes looking to expand their business
Industry trade body UKIE has launched a new game developer mentoring scheme with Nesta.
Designed specifically for UK businesses, the initiative is designed to advise and nurture game companies looking to grow.
Those who take part in the scheme will receive an induction to the program, one-to-one business mentoring through ten two-hour sessions over a period of six months to a year, coaching support and the opportunity to attend workshops and events to meet other industry members.
The initiative is open to companies of all sizes, from start-ups to established firms looking to scale their business.
UKIE and Nesta is also looking for potential mentors for the program who have made or sold a game in the last 12 months, or one that is ready to bring to market within six months from now.
"This partnership with Nesta gives games businesses an amazing opportunity to get first hand expert advice from people with proven track records in the games industry," said UKIE CEO Jo Twist.
"Mentoring is invaluable both for mentees and for mentors. Our industry is especially good at collaborating and sharing stories and experiences so we encourage all businesses to apply and be part of the network.”
