Montreal leading nine other internal devs on next-gen blockbuster

Thought five studios was a significant amount of talent to be working on Far Cry 4? That's nothing compared to what Ubisoft is putting behind Assassin's Creed Unity.

A financial presentation by the publisher confirmed that ten different Ubisoft studios and subsidiaries are working on the next entry in the publisher's flagship series, according to Polygon.

Ubisoft Montreal is once again listed as lead developer, with the Canadian team collaborating with nine other Ubisoft studios in Toronto, Quebec, Annecy, Montpellier, Kiev, Singapore, Shanghai, Chengu and Bucharest.

Ubisoft Quebec and Singapore have been working on the Assassin's Creed series since 2010's AC: Brotherhood, while Annecy and Bucharest have been working on the multiplayer content in each title since Brotherhood.

Assassin's Creed Unity was announced back in March and is in development for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. It will be set in Paris during the French Revolution.
