Futureproof Vision engine to support massively parallel architectureSpeaking to Develop about the launch of the 7.0 and 7.1 updates to Trinigy’s Vision engine, the company’s MD has revealed the modular technology nearing release is designed to support the potential move to hundreds of cores.
“The next thing will be massively parallel architecture and the tests we’re doing with our stream processing technology in Vision 7 are designed to support that,” said Dag Frommhold, MD of German outfit Trinigy.
“Typically at the moment we’re looking at four to eight cores, but there will be many more in future, and the stream processing is developed with that in mind. We’re moving more of our internal development to ensure the new features we roll out for Vision also support it.”
Vision 7.0 is to be released in summer this year, with the 7.1 update expected to follow in September.
