Jamie MacDonald, Ubisoft Reflection's Stewart and Bizarre's Thompson join skills development body

Three more industry vets join Skillset Council

Skillset has grabbed three new members for its Computer Games Skills Council: Ubisoft Reflections GM Giselle Stewart, Bizarre studio art director Neil Thompson and ex SCE WWS London Studio honcho Jamie MacDonald.

The release also sheds some light on Jamie MacDonald’s activities since leaving the London development arm of Sony: he’s now a consultant in the digital media space, including to govenment agencies.

Already part of the council are Jagex CEO Mark Gerhard, who joined in April 2009, and representatives from Eidos, Frontier, Activision, Blitz, Microsoft, Tiga and ELSPA.

“Skillset is delighted to have such pro-active additions to our council," said Skillset’s computer games sector manager Saint John Walker.

"There is a new energy towards helping Higher Education to produce better talent and our council has already made inroads here. Our council is also keen to start grappling with other skills issues such as management and leadership training, and our three new members will be providing invaluable experience regarding this vital issue.”
