Nathan Wells heads to Giant Sparrow, while actor Todd Stashwick also leaves role on Uncharted 4

The Last of Us lead artist joins The Unfinished Swan team

The Last of Us’ lead artist Nathan Wells has left Naughty Dog to join Giant Sparrow, the studio behind PSN title The Unfinished Swan.

Wells confirmed that he’d joined the Santa Monica studio via Twitter on April 3rd, shortly before the announcement that a remastered edition of The Last of Us was coming to the PS4.

Before joining Naughty Dog to work on The Last of Us, Wells worked at Irrational Games for 13 years, serving as art director on BioShock Infinite.

Wells is the third chief departure from Naughty Dog in the last two months. Uncharted creative director Amy Hennig left the studio in March to later join Dead Space maker Visceral Games, while Uncharted 3 and 4 director Justin Richmond left to work at League of Legends developer Riot Games.

In addition to these departures, actor and writer Todd Stashwick, who provided the voice of an unnamed character in the Uncharted 4 teaser, has also departed the project as his character has been recast, as IGN confirmed.

Last week it was announced that Stashwick would be reunited with Hennig at Visceral Games to work on an upcoming Star Wars game.
