Israeli multiplayer games specialist Viva La Mobil acquired

Telco buys Viva

Telcogames has acquired the Israeli multiplayer games specialist Viva La Mobile.

The purchase further expands the gaming armoury of London-based Telcogames, which already distributes games for third parties and publishes its own high-end native titles.

Viva La Mobile’s own Redstar platform was launched three years ago and is currently live with 3 Australia; 3 Austria; 3 Hong Kong; Smartone Vodafone Hong Kong; PCCW Sunday Hong Kong and Telstra. It has generated over 1.4 million paid multiplayer game sessions.

The platform supports payment flexibility with pay per play billing, free play and subscription models. It also offers chat, high scores, international leader-boards and tournaments under its mobile games championship (MGC) brand.

Orange Israel will Telcogames’ first customer to launch Viva’s multiplayer games in September. Launch titles will be Super Puzzle Bobble multiplayer from Taito and Viva’s own Badlands.

Jamie Conyngham, CEO Telcogames said "The Viva acquisition allows us to continue offering our clients the latest advances in mobile games. Gamers in many European countries have yet to see branded real-time multi-player games such as Taito’s Super Puzzle Bobble and we intend to change to make this part of our offering to our global distribution base".
