Former Disney exec Steve Wadsworth to replace Mihir Shah effective immediately

The CEO of mobile monteisation and distrbution services firm Tapjoy Mihir Shah has resigned.

Shah has been replaced effective immediately by the former president of the Disney Interactive Media Group and current Tapjoy director Steve Wadsworth.

Wadsworth had worked at the Walt Disney Company for 17 years, working as the firm’s chief internet and digital media executive for 11 years.

He most recently served as president of Disney Interactive Media Group, where he led the global development and delivery of entertainment content across digital and interactive media platforms, which included mobile, console and browser.

"Tapjoy has scaled dramatically over the past two years, and we are very excited and fortunate to have someone with Steve's management credentials and deep technology and entertainment industry expertise to lead Tapjoy through our next phase of growth,” said Tapjoy chairman Mark Leschly.

“Steve has had a unique opportunity to work closely with our senior management team since joining the Board. He will ensure that this is a seamless transition for all of Tapjoy's customers and employees as we continue to drive the growth and product innovation we are known for.”
