Organisers keen to raise awareness of local industry with November event

West African Gaming Expo calls for industry support

A growing event designed to showcase West Africa’s games development community is set to return later this year, and is calling for companies to get inovled.

The West African Gaming Expo, or WAGE, will once again be held on November 9th, in the Nigerian city of Lagos. Core to the event is a day-long conference that will discuss key industry topics and how they affect local games firms.

The agenda includes sessions on job opportunities, education, women in gaming, fundraising, community management and games development for beginners. The conference will be split between speaker presentations and coding sessions.

The organisers are keen to get more companies involved in the other activities around the conference, such as the main expo. Support is needed to organise tournaments, workshops and prize giveaways, with the opportunity to showcase your business and network with attendees.

WAGE is also looking for developers and other companies keen to showcase and share research and projects on trends in the industry, particularly those that affect West Africa.
