Developers will now be able to use all Google Play player engagement features, Apteligent and OneSignal also added

SDKBOX integrates Google Play Games Services for Cocos2d-x

SDKBOX, a live game operations platform, has teamed up with Google to give studios using Cocos2d-x full access to the latter’s Google Play Game Services suite.

The integration opens up functionality designed to connect players, including achievements, leaderboards, multiplayer and events. There will also be tools for tracking player activity.

SDKBOX is a framework that combines multiple live operations services and developer tools, and is used by more than 2,500 apps that represent a combined 60m installs. Titles that use it include Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, Marvel Tsum Tsum and Ketchapp Basketball.

“Our mission is to ‘cure SDK fatigue’,” said head of operations Kai Zhao. “As we expand the breadth of features available for developers to engage and retain their players, Google Play’s Game Services SDK was a natural fit for our platform.

“We look forward to working closely with the Google Play team to ensure the integration is seamless for our fast-growing, global community of over 700,000 Cocos2d-x developers.”

The new update that adds Google’s services to SDKBOX also integrates game intelligence tool Apteligent and push notifications software OneSignal.
