CEO of holding company looking after ailing UK publisher praises acquisition

Rebellion a “very appropriate suitor” for Razorworks says Empire

The CEO of Silverstar Holdings, the firm which owns struggling UK publisher Empire, has said the firm’s sale of its Razorwoks to independent developer Rebellion means the team has found a "very appropriate suitor".

We revealed late last week that the UK independent had swooped for the publisher’s studio after it was put up for sale.

“Further to our recent media announcement, we are very pleased to confirm that we have successfully completed the sale of Razorworks to a very appropriate suitor," commented Clive Kabatznik, CEO, Silverstar Holdings.

“Rebellion are one of the foremost Independent European developers and we know that Razorworks skills will compliment their existing organisation. We wish both parties the very best and look forward to working with them in the future.”

During the transition to ownership with Rebelleion, Razorworks will finish it work on Empire’s forthcoming Pipe Mania for PS2, PSP, PC and Nintendo DS.
