Rumoured redesign will also feature 'deals of the week' promotion space

PSN Store ‘revamp to boost games presence’

The PlayStation Network store will soon undergo a revamp to better advertise games on the platform, new reports claim.

It is said that the redesign will usher in a more image-driven layout, following alleged feedback that the store is too text heavy.

Anonymous sources speaking to Reg Hardware said the new design will feature "an aesthetic layout with logically marked sections and rolodex lists".

It is also rumoured that a new live search method will be applied, where results start appearing as characters are entered (much like Google Instant).

The PlayStation firm is also thought will launch a ‘deals of the week’ section within its next online store – likely a step forwards towards a more fluid pricing model similar to Steam’s, where game prices fall dramatically during promotions.
